One of the first of the new generation of
Tenant Satisfaction Surveys, the STAR survey, has been awarded to
M·E·L Research by Paragon Community Housing Group (PCHG). The
group, consisting of Richmond upon Thames Churches Housing Trust
and Elmbridge Housing Trust, has asked M·E·L Research to
pioneer a telephone survey method with General Needs
tenants, Shared Owners and
Leaseholders in September, with a face to face survey
being run amongst Sheltered Tenants during the same period. Results
will be available to PCHG at the beginning of October.
Karen Etheridge, M·E·L Research's Project Manager for the
Paragon STAR Survey said, "This is an exciting new venture for
Social Housing providers, who have now got a great deal more
flexibility to tailor their Satisfaction Surveys to get the
intelligence that they want, rather than just satisfying statutory
requirements. It also gives them flexibility to run surveys by
telephone or face to face, rather than just by post, which is not
always the best way to get a representative sample of
responses".
If you are thinking about running a STAR Survey, or want
to get an idea of costs by post, telephone or face to face, please
