06.09 A New Direction for Tenant and Community Involvement

This short article takes a radical forward look at the way social housing tenants might in future have a greater say in the future of their neighbourhoods. It draws on proposals in the 2006 local government white paper Strong and Prosperous Communities and seeks to bridge the gap between traditional forms of tenant participation and the new approach to neighbourhood management. The article is contributed to a wider review of social housing being undertaken by the Human City Institute.
